What IMATIB 400 mg is prescribed for? 

IMATIB 400 mg tablet is an oral medicine for the treatment of blood cancer. It is used in conjunction with other medicines to treat Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) and Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). 

Imatinib is an effective treatment against several types of cancer, including dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans, a tumor that forms under the top layer of skin.

Imatib 400 mg Tablet works by blocking the actions of specific abnormal proteins that cause cancer cells to multiply and spread.

How to take IMATIB 400 mg?

IMATIB comes in tablet form and is usually taken once or twice a day with a meal and water.

Take Imatinib at around the same time(s) each day. And If your prescription label says to take the medication at certain times, try not to miss any doses.

Imatinib is taken orally by swallowing the tablets whole; they should not be chewed or crushed, and after touching or coming into direct contact with a crushed tablet, You should wash the area thoroughly.

If you have trouble swallowing imatinib tablets, place the pills into a large glass of juice or water and stir until the tablets dissolve; then drink the liquid right away.

Take two of the 400-milligram tablets. Do not take eight of the 100-milligram tablets, as these contain iron and can cause iron toxicity.

  • Avoid cigarettes and alcohol. Eating a low-fat and cholesterol diet will also help reduce cholesterol levels.

Safety advise During pregnancy :

Do not use Imatib 400 Tablet 10's while pregnant, as it has been known to cause fetal damage. If a woman becomes pregnant after taking Imatib 400 Tablet 10's, wait at least six months before getting pregnant again.


Can IMATIB 400 tablet be taken with food? 

You can take Imatib 400 tablets with food or a glass of water. Doing so will prevent irritation in the esophagus and stomach. If you can’t swallow them, put them in a glass of water or apple juice and stir until they dissolve. Drink immediately.

Can a person safely drive a vehicle after taking Imatib 400mg?
